In a new milestone that adds to its distinguished record in the field of clean energy, Masdar Engineering for Renewable Energy has successfully supplied, installed, and commissioned a complete 22 kW solar power system to operate a grain mill — a significant step that strengthens the role of renewable energy in supporting food security and improving the livelihoods of rural communities in Yemen.

This project comes as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to deliver practical and sustainable energy solutions that serve productive sectors, particularly agriculture and rural food industries, which are among the most energy-dependent fields.
The newly installed system allows the mill to operate efficiently throughout the day without relying on diesel generators, significantly reducing operational costs and lowering harmful emissions that affect the environment.

Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager of Masdar Engineering for Renewable Energy stated:

“This project represents the core of our mission at Masdar Engineering. We don’t just sell solar systems — we create real impact in people’s lives. Powering a grain mill with solar energy means that an entire family or village can now work and produce efficiently without power interruptions or the burden of fuel dependency.”

The project beneficiary also expressed his gratitude, saying:

“Today, we are witnessing a real transformation thanks to this system. We no longer suffer from power outages or production delays. Now we can grind grain throughout the day, meeting the needs of the community with ease and high quality. Many thanks to the Masdar Engineering team for their support and attention to every detail.”

The system was implemented using high-efficiency solar panels, an advanced inverter, and a smart control unit, ensuring stable performance and high output even under fluctuating solar conditions.

With this achievement, Masdar Engineering for Renewable Energy continues its leadership in expanding the use of clean energy to support local development and strengthen productive sectors, reaffirming its role as a trusted partner in building a more sustainable and prosperous energy future for Yemen.
